Denon unveils new mid-class AV Receivers and a unique Blu-ray transport maximizing the user experience

Denon, one of the world's leading manufacturers of high-quality home entertainment products, continues to unveil their next generation home theatre solutions with the all-new mid-class network AV receivers AVR-2113 and AVR-2313, plus a unique Blu-ray transport DBT-1713UD. Following the recent introduction of their entry-class models, Denon now adds more products to their new AV-Art series which again set the pace in design and features. The new series embodies a whole new product design concept with virtuous surround technologie which at the same time is strikingly simple to use. A comprehensive network feature range including AirPlay plus a 4k video capability on board are only some of the reasons which make the new receivers the perfect solution to enjoy every sound, every source, every moment.

As with all Denon receivers, the 2012 core line offers users the opportunity to enjoy the highest quality audio and video performance. The AVR-2113 humbly delivers 125W x 7 channels fully discrete power to the home theatre, while the AVR-2313 delivers even 135W. They feature an efficient and straightforward short signal path circuit design that ensures optimal audio and video playback by minimizing any signal degradation due to interference. Most remarkably, both newcomers now even feature 4k pass-through and 4k scaling through their six HDMI inputs (with 3D, Audio Return Channel and CEC), whereof one is conveniently located at the front, for maximum future-readiness. The AVR- 2313 shines with two HDMI outputs for simultaneous playback on a TV plus a projector at the same time.

Adding even more flexibility and content management, the AVRs inherit the popular AirPlay music streaming feature out-of-the-box. AirPlay allows users to unleash their iTunes music libraries from a Mac, PC or their mobile Apple devices. They further feature iPod/iPhone Direct Connectivity via USB (which also works with iPad) for quick and simple integration of Apple devices into the home audio system. A nearly unlimited variety of advanced network capabilities includes the support of Internet radio or playback of music files stored on a shared hard disk (NAS) or PC.

Based on extensive customer surveys, Denon took strong efforts to further increase the ease of use. Operating an AVR has never been easier, thanks to a new Graphical User Interface (GUI), a new Setup Assistant plus the brand new Denon Remote App for iPad, iPhone or iPod touch.

Discerning consumers will also appreciate the fact that the new receivers feature a full package of Audyssey audio technologies for optimal sound quality. Audyssey Dynamic Volume offers real-time volume adjustment, while Audyssey DynamicEQ improves a system's surround sound effects at low volume levels. Audyssey MultEQ XT automatically sets speakers (including the subwoofer) to suit the room's listening environment and the speaker's characteristics. The AVR-2313 further comes with Audyssey DSX plus Audyssey Pro readiness.

Since all high-end audio and video technology is already featured in the AVRs, Denon decided to revitalise their Blu-ray Transport concept offering a player purely focussing on his primary job: playing back discs and delivering the digital signal unaltered through the HDMI output to the AV receiver. It is just the perfect match to go with one of Denon's new AV-Art series, in terms of design and features. Apart from its multitalent regarding the discs it reads (including Super Audio CD and DVD Audio), it also supports online video streaming contents such as YouTube or Netflix. A decent high-quality engineering with independent blocks and a shielded drive mechanism with quick response and loading times finally adds to the renowned Denon quality.

As Denon is at the forefront of reducing unnecessary energy consumption, the Stand-by power has again been reduced significantly. Even further, all new products now feature an Auto Power Off function for additional energy saving, proven by the new Denon eco-logo.

The AVR-2313, AVR-2113, as well as the DBT-1713UD will be available in a black colour finish from May onwards. It is AV-Art. Created by Denon.
